BENTLEY LODGE GUEST HOUSE

Bentley Lodge is a beautiful Victorian House built around 1900 and has been lovingly cared for throughout the years and maintains many of its original features.

Rich and I moved into Bentley Lodge in April 2021 and opened at the end of COVID in May 2021. We immediately started to make changes, update and  improve the accommodation to make it the beautiful and calming environment it is today. We love our home and always welcome our guests by saying 'please make yourself at home' as we want everyone who stays with us to feel relaxed and chilled making everything experienced in the area a wonderful memorable experience, which is what time away from home is about. 

Since moving in, we have had new bathrooms installed and all rooms redecorated to a high standard, with new furniture and features, making all rooms calming and comfortable, a lovely place to relax and unwind after a day exploring the beautiful area around us.

As we begin our 2025 season, Bentley Lodge maintains its wonderful high standard. 

All 5 bedrooms have  fresh feature walls and soft furnishings to complement the tastefully decorated rooms. 

All rooms have smart TVs with Netflix, super silent hotel fridges and Breville One Cup hot water dispensers, Alexa, hairdryer, complementary hospitality tray, iron and ironing board, and complementary toiletries in the bathrooms.

On check in, each room will have fresh chilled filtered water in jugs and fresh milk in the fridge all of which can be topped up as and when you wish.

We would love to welcome you to our home where you can have a wonderful relaxing stay whilst enjoying the beautiful English Riviera and surrounding areas, including the stunning Dartmoor as short drive away.

We have an EV charging point available for guests to use, located at the front of the house.

We have 5 stylish, luxury en-suite bedrooms with ensuite shower rooms.

We offer a varied breakfast menu from which you select what you would like the night before, so that we can prepare it fresh for you the following morning. A few of the various options  include full English, vegetarian, vegan, gluten, dairy free, continental, fresh fruit salad, cereals and natural yogurt. We are more than happy to fulfil other dietary requests where needed, please chat to us about your requirements. We use locally sourced products wherever possible including handmade sausages and premium bacon from our local butchers. Our eggs are from happy free range chickens providing a rich yolk egg from a local farm in Chudleigh. We also offer premium preserves and homemade strawberry jam and marmalade made by Rich. 

On warm summer days, breakfast can be taken in the garden if guests prefer to be outside. 

We offer free WI FI throughout the building including all bedrooms. 

All the beds are king size with extra deep mattresses in all rooms with the addition of a 3ft wide single bed in the triple room. 

We use luxury microfibre duvets and pillows to give you the most comfortable and peaceful restful nights sleep,

We look forward to welcoming you to Bentley Lodge but we are unable to accept children under the age of 8 years. Please accept our apologies for this. 

We can accommodate small well behaved dogs, but please call or email us first to discuss your requirements.

Bentley Lodge is a 15 minute flat walk to Torre Abbey Meadows and the seafront, with beautiful views and lovely areas to sit and enjoy the lovely surroundings.

We have off road parking for 5 cars, outside of the entrance.
